Free Roam VR allows players to physically walk around in a real open space while seeing and interacting in a shared virtual world. Instead of standing still like traditional VR, kids move their whole body naturally to explore game environments, duck behind cover, and work with teammates. It’s like stepping inside a video game together.

Safety is our top priority. We set up physical barriers to define play areas, and the VR system displays warning grids when players approach boundaries. Our Game Coach continuously monitors all players and manages group sizes appropriately. The technology is specifically designed for safe, supervised multiplayer experiences.

Free Roam VR actually causes significantly less motion sickness than traditional VR because physical movement perfectly matches what kids see in the virtual world. Their inner ear and eyes stay synchronized, preventing the disorientation that causes nausea in stationary VR experiences.

Any indoor space with a flat floor works well. We’ve successfully set up in bonus rooms, finished basements, garages, and large living areas. A 20×20 foot cleared area is ideal, but we can adapt to smaller spaces (minimum 15×15 feet). Send us your space dimensions and we’ll confirm it works perfectly.

Each game session accommodates 4-6 players and lasts about 10 minutes. With our rotation system, up to 50 guests can participate during a standard 2-hour party, with everyone getting multiple opportunities to play different games.

We recommend Free Roam VR for ages 8 and up. Our game library includes options for all comfort levels, from family-friendly adventures perfect for children to more intense experiences for teens. We’ll help you select age-appropriate games for your birthday child’s specific group.
